[ooc] finally! my internet connection is back up - i wrote this out last night, but couldn't post... This continues from the updated background story in the Rogue's Gallery thread (i read a crudload about the areas Killain had to travel thru to get from The Vast in the east to the Coast on the west) : [/ooc] After Killian Maxwell woke up in Beregost, after more traveling west from his homeland in The Vast, he had breakfast in the inn and proceeded to take in the sights of the town. After enjoying the newness of the city, and taking stock of the environment (dangerous areas, fun nightlife, trade markets, etc) for a few days, Killian purchased a high quality bow that he can use to take advantage of his above-average strength when hunting or fighting. He allowed himself a moment of reflection after the purchase, ruminating that if he'd stayed at home, like some others in his family, he proabably would not have even seen such a fine weapon, much less owned one. Ahhhh.... the road has been a constant companion the last few years for the son of Keegan Maxwell. Born to such a large farming family that he'd sometimes accidentally be called by the family dog's name, Killian now is an experienced fighter and world-traveler. His journeys have brought him close to his supposed destination: a desire (more like an excuse to leave home) to see the Coastlands, and the mighty Sea of Swords. His toils have brought him this far ; equipped, and with ample coin, he ponders his actions before he sets off west to Candle Keep. He spends the night celebrating moderately in the town's bar. He has a good time, swapping tales and drinks with the locals, before turning in to bed early in the morning. When Killian wakes up in the early afternoon, he prepares to go downstairs when he realises his purse is gone! Infuriated and hurt by the crime, Killian exits the inn with the plan to get a job - or SOME way to get living-money, or somehow find the guy who ripped him off!
