As if upon cue as soon as Elsbeth announces that she can speak goblin your lone goblin rouses. Elsbeth begins conversing with the lone goblin in what could best be described as high-pitched yipping. As she gets pieces of information she relays it to the her companions. Apparently the goblin is very scared and his name is 'Irnk'. What follows is Elsbeth telling of the goblin's tale. "Scribbleface was bad. He did great goblin taboo. Goblins don't write but Scribbleface did. So tribe drove him out into the swamp and burned his hut. But first chief found fire sticks in his hut. Chief sent goblin champions to get more fire sticks. They return with more fire sticks and fan map. Heroes sent out again and return with many shinies. Chief decided with so many fire sticks Licktoads could get more shinies." The goblin shivered as he thought about the next part. "Last night skeletons attack Licktoad village. Many goblins killed. Few skeletons ... killed? Chief finally threw shinies at skeltons. That stopped them. We burned dead goblins bodies. We threw "dead?" skeleton bones into pool. We scared skeletons come back for more shinies." The goblin then looked around at the assembled group. "We stayed in huts until you arrived. Thought you were more skeletons at first. You just as bad or worst. Skeletons have many shinies. The went that way. You go get from them? Leave poor little harmless Irnk alone?" He points to the south.
