OODM: someone should call Renard at this point, to let him know you're on the way. Doesn't matter who. Whoever calls Renard experiences the following first-hand: IDM: “Hello,” a voice with a slight French accent lisps. “Yes, you are the investigators. Yes, my mast…my employer requires your services, yes. Please come up and see us, yes? You have the address, yes? Good, come up as quickly as possible, yes?” You take care of any business you need to on the phone, and you pass by Gaines on the way out. OODM: Be as detailed as you like describing what you do before leaving. Gaines is there to talk to, you can discuss the call to Renard, or whatever. Feel free to spend as much time as you want in conversation before arriving at the next part. IDM: Your drive up the interstate and along the state highway leading over to Arkham is uneventful enough. Over the century, especially in the last 40 years, the area surrounding Arkham has become increasingly populated by housing tracts and strip malls, but central Arkham itself still retains much of the ambience of the early 20th century. Many of the older buildings still stand, and the town has a certain timeless quality to it. You make your way north past the university and across one of the bridges that spans over the Miskatonic, winding your way through the streets until you reach Derby St. A little ways down, just before the old sanitarium and on the other side of the street from it, you see a somewhat more dilapidated house than the others. It doesn't look like anyone's lived here for years. Whatever grass used to make up the lawn has long since vanished, leaving only dirt and stray weeds. The paint has decayed, and here and there termites have eaten away at the wood paneling. As you walk towards the door, the sun suddenly disappears behind dark clouds. The boards leading up to the doorstep creak as you trod on them. This must be the place.:) OODM: Whenever you're done describing other stuff, conversing, or what have you, just say you're walking up to the door. I'll update again when all four of you are at the door.
