Kalorn, Lorenn, & Sesto vs WightBoss & Skeletal Whale As the skeletal whale burst through the ice, Kalorn and Sesto fell into the hole it created. Lorenn sent his flying board to rescue the cleric, and turned away to head for cover. The skeletal whale spun its skull toward him as he ran away and clobbered him with its long tooth-horn. The half-elf stumbled, but he continued to run until he found a spot where the undead ambushers could not see him. Kalorn slid into the icy water, but he was't even wholly submerged when a clap of thunder sounded that cracked the ice and some of the whale's bones and Kalorn teleported to the cliff face. Drawing his sword, he lay into the first of the undead ambushers in a furious assault. The creature ducked under his first blow, as if it had known he was going to be there before he teleported, and it swung a greatsword at him in turn. They clashed, trading blows on an icy ledge that was hard for Kalorn to keep his footing. When the wight's sword struck Kalorn's arm, ice exploded in shards at the undead creature, though it appeared to be adapted to the cold. Sesto, who had also fallen into the ice-hole, was faring much worse; the cleric was struggling to get onto Lorenn's flying board when the skeletal whale burst high into the air above him and came slamming down hard. It caught him somewhere in its rib-cage and dragged him and the board as it slid back into the water. He felt the icy cold around him and he summoned his spirit-weapon, but he was in no position to properly direct it as he spun around in the thrashing water. [GM]Warning: Kalorn is in a precarious place. Of course, Sesto is in dire straits himself.
