The Captured Boat Now that they were no longer being fired upon, Titus ordered Bruno to take the captured raiding-boat directly in to the Daggerford docks. With Enseth lighting the way, and Angis, Drui, Lionel, Snake, and four goblins rowing, the old man steered for the docks. Arrows swooshed overhead and rained down on their pursuers, who quickly gave-up the chase and rowed furiously upriver to join the third of the three raiding boats. The two goblin-boats rowed eastwards and disappeared into the night. The captured boat clonked into the dock not long after Janos' boat, and the river-folk jumped to help their new friends tie-off. Tired and battered, the group shipped their oars, secured their prisoners, and disembarked. They worked their way up the bank toward the River Gate. The wall was lined with militia and Sherlen Millar's voice could be heard ordering, "Open the gate!" As the gate rumbled open, someone on the wall yelled, "Three cheers for the heroes of Southbank!" and the crowd on the wall held up their bows and yelled: "Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!" Lady Morwen Daggerford could be seen at the top of the gate, and she smiled as her nephew came into the torchlight, caught his eye, gave a stiff nod, and waved the group through the gate.
