It spun around as the screeching grew louder and nearer and the Daggerfordians could see the source of the noise - two owlbears had come out of the forest on either side. As the elk moved away from the first one it saw, the other lumbered toward the elk's rear on all fours, and then it leaped into air. Beating its feathered forarms to increase its lift, it jumped on the elk's back and ripped into its haunch with powerful claws.</p></blockquote><p></p>
