Tommi & Enseth vs Goblin3, 4, & 5 and (surprise!) Giant Viper1 Tommi rushed around the pillar and across the room, careful to jump over a sleeping goblin. He wedged himself between to bunks and flung a sling-stone into the back of a goblin's head. The goblin slumped forward, dead, and Enseth was free to pursue the goblins down the long hallway. The big shield guardian thumped after them, slamming one into the wall hard and knocking it out cold. The one next to it shrieked, terrified, and swiped at Enseth, scratching his shield. Then Enseth's ocular sensors detected movement on his right, and he shone his head-lamp into the dark room beyond the hallway. The large square room held more bunks, but it's main feature was that it contained a large well. Coming around the well were two enormous serpents. One rushed toward him, side-winding back and forth as it towered above him and struck, biting at his metal hide ineffectually. [GM]I tend to want to knock monsters out when they are reduced to exactly zero and kill them when there's any extra damage.
