The elves so clearly enjoyed Dandin's music that they felt sufficiently refreshed and offered to take the majority of the watch. Most of the Daggerfordians found their way to clean bunks for a much needed afternoon nap. The Julkounians worked on clearing the tunnel, but these were weavers, not sappers, and they did not get far. (The people for the job were left with Drui in the Quarry, after having been rescued from a chain-gang guarded by worgs.) The grateful Julkounians served food (from the bunkroom stores) and patched holes in the Daggerfordian's clothes. The day wore on and the Elves reported a few attempts had been made to open the door to the covered bridge from the cellars, but aside from one frustrated-sounding bang, all attempts had been half-hearted and unsuccessful. Morwin the Tressym returned through a window on the covered-bridge and reported to Titus that the Red Wizard had left the city by river-boat about four hours ago, heading downstream. He had unsuccessfully attempted to organise an assault on the cellars, but had been refused. As predicted, the death of Shorgg and his Captains had demoralised the goblin horde. Morwin had seen a large group of hobgoblins exit the town heading north. There were still many goblins about, but most had fallen into disorganised groups, prone to in-fighting. [ooc]Successful Long Rest. Not quite time for a level-up yet.[/ooc]
