[QUOTE="FitzTheRuke, post: 7859369, member: 59816"] They'd done some shopping, (and some planning to shop in Enfield) before leaving Daggerford: Dandin had attended a sermon at Morninglow Tower, and endeared himself to Luc Sunbright, who was happy to use the halfling's new minor celebrity to add some status to the affair. Dandin purchased five healing potions there. He had already visited Hadasha at Harvest House, and he and Angis had told her how her friend Estor had died, and how they'd avenged him. They'd bought three potions from her, at an excellent price. Titus had tried to convince his uncle to lend him a warhorse from the Ducal Stables, but the Duke made excuses, saying that most of the stable was still empty from Lady Morwen's men taking them to Julkoun, and he needed the rest for his dispatches to Cromm's Hold and other important things. Titus did not argue, as he preferred to make his way on his own, as often as possible. He hatched a plan to buy his own horse in Enfield, where he knew of an excellent breeder and trainer. N7 had shared the Duke's gold, and a plan was hatched to build a communal coach - a 'war wagon' with a mounted crossbow on the hard-topped roof (and room for extra cargo up there), bench-seats and a drop-table inside, with weapon racks on the back and sides. The front would have two cushioned seats, and it would be pulled by two draft horses. Seeing an opportunity, Dandin invested in horseshoes, buckles, and hinges made by the dwarves of Derval's Smithy, and he hired a young man to handle Hanar and his little cart, and to return it to Zachare when the war-wagon was complete. The old cart was loaded to its maximum, and it creaked under the weight. Hanar was very reliable, and pulled it all the way to Enfield without complaint. They'd walked to Enfield, where Dandin sold more than half his goods, and Titus and Angis spoke to the horse-breeder and carpenters, and they spent the rest of that first day modifying a heavy wagon to create the Doughty Daggerfordian War Wagon. Titus got himself a freshly trained young warhorse and outfitted it with leather barding. From the same breeder he bought a pair of draft horses who had been raised together and trained as a team. The following day, the Doughty Daggerfordians left Enfield in style, with Lionel driving the war wagon. He'd never handled so large a wagon, but he'd driven his family's milk wagon, and this was little different. Titus rode ahead, getting used to his fine saddle.
