Tommi rolled across the altar as Lunn smashed a skeleton while the two of them argued. Viarar dropped over the low-drop into the room, and slipped gracefully past Lunn, to thrust shatterpike into one of the meathook-wielding skeletons. This one had only just stepped into the water basin, which was a few feet deep, and it lunged forward through the running water. It vibrated under the magic of Vairar's pike until it shattered into many small bones that sank to the bottom of the trough. Morgan spoke words that were deeper and harsher than his spellcasting had been in the hours they had known him. It was also in vain, as the skeletal hand he'd produced did nothing to stop the skeletons' advance. Two skeletons remained, and they moved to surround Tommi. Escella's bolts smashed into one of the two, which threw off its aim and the rusty meat-hook slashed over Tommi's head. The other one stabbed into Tommi's shoulder, and he felt the hook bite, catching under his shoulder-blade, and the skeleton tried to force him down onto the altar. The was little room to maneuver around the sunken altar, so Titus and the Dwarves formed a barrier with their bodies, protecting Escella, Morgan, and Lionel outside in the tunnel. Those inside the room were only just registering the door in the north wall, warped wood bound in iron, when three ghost-like apparitions moved through it (though the door remained closed). They took up positions guarding the door, but their faces were all wrong for their bodies' actions - twisted in fear - and their mouths let out high-pitched screams of terror. [ooc]Tommi damaged MS1 before Lunn & Vairar smashed MS1 & MS2. Escella did 10 to MS3. Titus & the dwarves dodged. MS4 did 7 to Tommi, who will have to make a dc12 STR save or he'll be thrown prone on the altar. He's also grappled (dc13 escape), making his movement zero, so he won't be able to get up if he's thrown prone.[/ooc]
