He wants to open a portal with the rod. Why don't you tell us about the portal. Where will it go?"</p><p></p><p>Morgan had some theories and some knowledge of the creature but he didn't want the Baazka to know as much. The less Baazka knew, the easier it would be to deal with him.</p><p></p><p>If it was a Pit Fiend who was stuck between worlds, then the portal would probably lead somewhere where he could reconstitute himself. Maybe his body was dead or in stasis somewhere - as far as he knew, Pit Fiends were immortal. If Baazka was planning to just return to his home plane, Morgan would probably be fine with him taking the rod but Pit Fiends tended to have more sinister plans up their sleeves.</p><p></p><p>In any case, the creature would be open to bargaining but that was a tricky endeavor that could mean losing your soul. Maybe, though, it could buy some time. He wanted to hear the answer so that he could race up the stairs, outside.
