As the team spreads out over the area, the gaping spiders suddenly surge over the pit rim!! There are well over thirty of the creepy crawly giant monstrosities and most leap into the air or race towards the fleeing miners, but a few focus on the team… Both Reks and Kacela slash at a pair of creatures with their lightsabers but the spiders are nimble on their feet and avoid their attacks. This Gand unleashes a burst of blaster fire at the pair of creatures that appear near where Jihahna’s has parked the landspeeder (by the broken elevator lift access controls), and blasts the creatures causing one to fall dead and the other to tip back over the rim and disappear back down the pit. But more keep coming, and an additional pair leap into the air towards the Jedi, one missing Kacela but the other striking Reks and forcing him back, while biting him on his right leg. An additional spider leaps over by where Jihahna is, causing Thirteen to cry out “Oh dear me, please mistress Jihahna, don’t let it get me!!!” Another pair of spiders leap down onto the elevator scaffolding on opposite sides of the speederbike, causing Targo to cry out in fear and blast at one of them shouting “I’s hates spiders I do indeed!” He might indeed have an fear of spiders as his shot goes wild, coming nowhere near the creature… [gm]Initiative 17 – Cal 15 – Gaping Spiders 8 – Reks 7 – This Gand 4 – Kacela Still need an Initiative roll for Jihahna although it is not as important on the first round (her action was to drive over to this spot and jump out of the landspeeder). ROUND 1 Cal shots and a spider and knocks it to 1 hit point. As a beast I am going to say its automatically Reeling. As Reks and Kacela were readied from last round, they both go before the spiders but both missed their targets. This Gand was also ready (in a sense) and killed to two spiders near Jihahna. You cannot fire Auto-Fire into melee (and Spiders will be in melee with her), without also hitting Jihahna. Firing single shots is at a Disadvantage unless you have the Precise Shot feat. The Gaping Spiders come over the rim and two attack each of the Jedi, one that they had engaged in melee with and one leaping through the air to attack them!! Kacela was missed with both attack, but Reks was hit by the flying one for 4 points of damage (you still have wounds from the Swamp fight) and he needs to make a DC 10 Strength check or fall prone!! When you are prone you are at a disadvantage to attack with melee weapons and melee attacks are at an advantage against you. That’s the end of Round 1. At present there are 36 Gaping Spiders over the rim of the Mine Pit. Most are cashing after miners. Two are attacking Reks in melee Two are attacking Kacela in melee One is attacking Jihahna in melee Two are about to jump at this Gand and Targo, one from each side. They are about 5-6 meters away for them There are about six additional spiders (one that is Reeling and has 1 HP) that will move into melee with the team on round 3. For Round 2, actions and rolls!! Yes the Spiders go before you (except Cal and maybe Jihahna depending on her Initiative check)[/gm]
