Jihahna calls on powers she still did not quite understand and gets to work on the elevator lift control box. Ripping open the casing she started trying to figure out what is wrong to get the lift to the surface and away from any additional spiders from below. She thought she found the problem it’s was just not an easy fix and would take her some time… time she might not have as one of the huge spider things raced towards her with hungry jaws snapping! Cal, shifting his aim, trying to shot the spider racing at Jihahna but his shot went wide as the battle haze and confusion fouled his shot. He cursed under his breath and started to aim, his training making him confident that he would not strike the ex-merc with his follow-up shot. Reks hacks into one of the spider attacking him, both of his lightsabers piercing through the creature’s body as it let out a weak squeal and expired. The remaining one was unfazed by the death of its companion and raised up on four of its hind legs in front of the young Padawan. This Gand was again able to strike at a good size mob of spider things and while they only suffered shrapnel and blast damage it send the creatures reeling. Targo was not quick so lucky and screaming, maybe partly in fear and angry, tried to ram one of the spiders off the scaffolding but it easily avoided the mercenary and the speederbike. Kacela then unleashed the power of the Force against the pair of spider things facing her sending the reeling away from her and back over the rim to tumble back down the pit!! The gaping spider on Jihahna tried to bite her but in its rush for “meat” only bite some scaffolding near her. The one remaining on Reks however was able to get past the Jedi’s defenses for a minor wound on his right arm. One of the spider then leaped up onto Targo and bit him on his arm. He let out a scream and was able to hold it off, while the one he tried to ram crawled up the side of the bike but could not get at him. Other gaping spiders started move back toward the team, one racing up to Cal and another pair moving to within striking distance of Reks and Kacela!!! The miners continued to race away with over a score of the spiders still chasing them! [gm]Initiative 24 - Jihahna 17 – Cal 15 – Gaping Spiders 8 – Reks 7 – This Gand 4 – Kacela OK I generally use group initiative but next time I will make more than one “bad guy group” initiative checks but for this game its fine… ROUND 2 Jihahna starts working on the elevator lift. This is going to take more than one round, unless you get a great success. You need to make another roll for next round… Cal shot and missed Reks hit both times, killing one of the Gaping Spiders on him This Gand shots at another group of four Gaping Spiders and sends the bunch Reeling. Targo tried to drive over one of the spiders but failed badly… Kacela force slammed and killed both spiders on her. Gaping Spider #5 bites at Jihahna but misses. Gaping Spider #2 bits at Reks and hits him for 5 points of damage (he has now taken 9 points this battle) Gaping Spider #6 leaps to bite at Targo, hitting him for 4 damage (he now has 7 HP left) but he made his Strength check and is still in the seat of the speederbike. Gaping Spider #7 crawls up to try and bite Targo but missed. Reeling Spider #8 makes a CON check vs. TN 10, made it. It takes your Action to recover from Reeling, but you still can move. So this spider moves to melee combat distance with Cal. New set of Reeling Spiders #9 made it, #10 failed, #11 made it, #12 made it. All four Spiders move towards miners but they can take no other action this round. Spider #13 and #14 move to within leaping distance of either Reks or Kacela this round. Actions and rolls for ROUND 3? Where creatures and players are now in relations to everyone else… Jihahna is about 40 meters away from the main group in melee combat with a Gaping Spider and working on the lift Reks and Kacela are within 10 meters of each other. Reks is in melee with one gaping spider. There are two additional spiders within 10 meters of the pair and about ready to leap at them. There is a wounded spider that is in melee combat with Cal now. On the scaffolding, this Gand and Targo are now in melee combat with two spiders. The other spiders are chasing miners as far as you can see. This Gand, with his passive perception AND where he is, see another group of the Gaping Spiders heading up the side of the mine pit (maybe another 20 or so). They are two rounds away from the top right now.[/gm]
