[QUOTE="Reprisal, post: 709922, member: 1161"] Kennewick shrugs, "Well, not exactly. I'm from Guelphia City, Tweek and the Blackwater boys are from Illumina. I think Haley and Moira are from Taebrook, but I'm not sure where Mischa's from..." The gnome opens a book written in gnomish, it's pages have pictures of the War Stones board with board positions and what-not on them. "All right, since you're new, we'll put five stones down as a handicap. Put a black stone in the middle, and one each on the four mid-points around the center," Kennewick points to each place for Kaufman to put his stones. "We'll play a simple game to begin. To win, all you have to do is capture one of my stones, and likewise for me. To capture one of my stones, you have to surround it: one above, one below, one left, and one right. Diagonal connections don't count, and you can try to capture a lot of them by cutting off a group from all open spaces." Kennewick places his first white stone, "Your turn." He watches as Kaufman places his sixth stone and nods, "But yeah, we all ended up meeting in Taebrook. Moira had brought Mischa home to meet her parents. At that point, I was still working with an old jeweller friend of mine as a clerk. I bumped into the Blackwater Boys while playing in a chess tournament, it was quite fun -- Nolan almost had a chance of beating me." The gnome smiled mischievously as Nolan glared at him in silence. "We ended up talking about things and he introduced me to Mischa through Tweek. A few hours after that, I ended my stay with Whiteraft Jewellers and threw my lot in with Mischa and everyone."
