Shayuri kept to herself during the voyage to this village, mulling over the things Dram had said, and the things he hadn't said. As they all trundled into Oddfellows, she spotted the merchants who shared with her some of the distinctive appearance of those hailing from Ashir. In reaction she quickly pulled up her cloak's hood to give her own features a little concealment, and picked a table away from inconvenient torches or fires to help that concealment along. She hadn't mentioned anything to Dram, but his account of Ashirites hunting people who sought information of the dragons and Tideruler was something she'd anticipated. Of course, Dram must have run a much larger operation than she had...Shayuri hadn't tangled with them more than twice. Maybe three times if that pair of hoodlums that stalked her in the alleys of Beldamar were with them. Regardless, she wasn't anxious to attract their attention here. Evading them had been one reason she'd come all that way. Not the only reason, of course...but not an insignificant one. Shayuri hadn't provoked them the way Dram had, but she also had far fewer resources to deal with them. As tempting as it was to go to her countrymen and greet them as brothers...the risk was too great to justify such a paltry reward. Her appearance was too distinctive. Even if they didn't immediately realize who she was, sooner or later they'd report to others what they'd seen. And sooner or later that report would reach someone who recognized the description. And then it would all begin again. When a server came to her table, she asked for wine. Good wine. Not a very dwarfly drink, but she wasn't a very dwarfy person. Never letting her eyes stray from the merchants, she set her mind to the task of turning what Dram had told them into a course of action.
