Lellard frowns as he struggles through the muck. Unlike you, he has difficulty - extreme difficulty - trying to navigate through the sucking sludge and near-hidden pools. His mood seems to darken, passing through impassivity to downright frustration. "...the lot o' you chatter more 'an Harren harlots," he grumbles. He looks up, locks glares with Jackobi, glances at Hrynnar, then subsides once more to mutters and grimaces. Finally, a full three hours before sunset, he calls for a halt. "We'll camp here." "Here?" Geron sneers. "Here, boyo!" Lellard tosses his pack onto one of the few dry spots nearby. His sword belt soon follows. The man drops to his rump and begins to pull off his boots. "One of ye - go git us some grub. And no swamp rats, ye hear?" He looks up, face flushed. Lellard continues to speak, failing to realize none of you have yet departed on his commanded errand. "These Rhemmies - Rhelmsmen - they be a tough lot. Like to fight up close, though, so we'll ping 'em a bit before they near us. I sees some of ye have bows - let's hope ye can use 'em." Lellard pulls his chain shirt up over his head and tosses the armor onto the mud. You watched as water seeps through the rusted links. The soldier continues. "Now, when they be seeing me in me armor...well, them Rhemmies ain't dumb. They'll mark me as the leader and come for me like a herd o' boars. That's fine," he shows yellow teeth in a wide grin, "that's fine. It'll save me the trouble o' ferretin' them out of this here muddy cesspool." He tosses both boots onto his half-submerged armor, leans back, and rests his head on crossed arms. "Wake me when dinner's ready, eh?" [OOC] Glad you guys posted a little of your backgrounds, as Celt suggested. I wanted to add that you should do exactly that, but it was late, I had already turned off the computer, and bed called. Good stuff![/OOC]
