Idea for Adventure Paths

I realize this is not for everyone but adventure paths of standard size but with the slow exp path so that the entire path is only 1-4 levels or so instead of the 1-20 or so that it is now.

This would let pc's play in a large number of adventure paths. One of my players Major concerns is that they seem to only get to play in one huge story arch unlike our old 1E games that had many grand overarching adventures woven in and out.


Also I guess you could use the slow exp path with the adventure paths now and just add more adventures or even use two adventure paths at once with some other adventures thrown in.

It was nothing before to run out of story and move on to something more pressing only to go back to it levels later once through with the pressing matters.


You guys see any really good way to do all this? Anyone else used two paths with some extra to build a champagne ?

There is already plenty of material that takes a character to 4th level. The Adventure Paths take us over a year to complete so we don't feel a big need to have to do something else. But even when one is over a creative DM should be able to continue with another logical seies of adventures that builds of the first one.

I think that would be the biggest issue. I wouldn't want the second or third AP to completely ignore what happened in the first one especially the out come as we play it through.
