I really like the idea that psionics should provide special abilities, rather than just being what is essentially a variant spellcasting system. I love the feats like Up the Walls and others which require or expend psionic focus, and I love the Soul Knife class. So I'm looking for some ideas for more classes which grant special psionic abilities. Here are two I've come up with: Psionic Infiltrator: Abilities like Stick to Walls (obvious), Neglectful Presence (guards happen to be looking the other way as character passes), maybe some sort of blending into surroundings or aura of silence. Psycho Baller (yeah, silly name): Summons up perfect spheres of a shiny, silvery metal which float through the air, attacking enemies and guarding the character). Number of balls would be dependant on intelligence, agility dependant on wisdom and power and toughness dependant on charisma. I think this last class is the perfect example of what I'm looking for. Interesting, different, strikingly unique and flavorful. Basically I want classes which could take over all the traditional roles, but in their own way. The Soulknife would be a good melee fighter, the psycho baller good at range, infiltrator would take over the Rogue's duties... Need some kind of healing/buff/defense (I'm thinking maybe similar to the Bard with auras that buff allies/debuff foes) and I guess the mage could be replaced by a Psion... So... any ideas?
