I want to use an idea I saw someone on the Paizo board use to encourage players to delve into their PC's background and personality: everyone starts with 15 points to buy abilities with, but they can get an additional 5 points if they describe two good and two bad traits about their character, and why they have them, incorporating their feats/traits. They can then get another 5 points on top of that if they also... um... and there's where I ran out of ideas. The original poster had some very specific suggestions I don't think will work out as useful, and I haven't been able to think of anything better.I would like them to describe some sort of RP hook that ties them to the AP (and maybe explains their highest ability score or something), but I'm not sure what form it should take. It should be durable, like the last 5-point idea, but preferably more tied to the world/campaign. It should be worth those last 5 points!I am stumped. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate hearing them!</blockquote>
