[QUOTE="Charles Dunwoody, post: 1490291, member: 17927"] If I owned a game company I'd want to buy Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying and bring it back in style. It's been out around twenty years or so and I still enjoy both the flavor (magic created by Chaos gate in the north, greenskins (orcs) create own magic when they mass) and the rules (armor reduces damage, a huge number of different professions for PCs to check out). I'd also want to get Talisman the board game. And include the space expansion set, that was cool. I'd also want to create a Star*Drive/Star Frontiers style sci fi game. Earth and a few hundred surrounding systems. Real aliens as well as "animal" aliens (dralasite or was it drasalite is a real alien to me, the t'sa are an animal (lizard) alien). Alien artifacts. FTL travel (I like the dark matter idea). Religion still exists but has evolved. Minor psionics (mindwalkers were interesting). Theme would be either exploration or trade (I'm not into the military style sci fi). So either the existing worlds would be used (trade) or a book of unexplored systems and ideas would be needed (exploration). An easy to use space combat system that involves all PCs. I think the Alternity book on the Aegis system (I think that was the name) and the Lighthouse were well detailed and a useful starting point for a sci fi campaign. I'd back off on mutations, cybernetics, and net running to concentrate on aliens, exploration, trade, and how humans/aliens act/live in space with FTL travel (i.e. lots of roleplaying to go with the gun battles and space combat).
