In their unlife they become creatures of utterly insidious cunning and filled with predatory instinct. Combat: A Relentless Courser seeks out all whom have ever threatened it, in life or afterwards. It will seek them out to slay reguardless of distance. Once all are dead it becomes as a normal wolf prowling the lands until another foolish enough to threaten it comes along. It then charges full out for its prey to sink in its teeth. It is rare, but particularly sadistic Coursers will stalk their prey for years, prolonging the chase as long as possible and relishing the fear this sparks in their victims. Cunning (Ex): A Relentless Courser cannot be caught flat-footed. Death Lock (Ex): The bite of a Relentless Courser is supernaturally powerful and it never lets go until it or its prey dies. Its bite always latches onto a vital area, dealing its maximum bite damage every round. If it can maintain its hold for three consecutive rounds the victim dies. Even if the courser is destroyed before it can kill its jaws remain locked into the flesh and continue to dig in. To remove the jaws before it kills its victim an opposed strength check must be made with the courser getting a +6 bonus to its roll or a blade used to cut out the jaws, dealing 2d6 damage. Lifesense (Su): In addition to any normal light that might be present, a relentless courser's surroundings are illuminated by roving points of brightness created by living creatures. To its eyes, a Medium or smaller creature gives off life force sufficient to provide bright illumination in a 60-foot radius, revealing itself and all features and objects in range to it life-adapted sight. This life-light feature behaves like regular light - it can't see into solid objects, or past solid walls. A Large creature gives off life-light in a 120-foot radius, and the radius doubles again for each additional size category larger than Medium, up to a maximum radius of 960 feet for a Colossal creature. Prey Detection (Su): A Relentless Courser always knows the general direction in which its prey is located. This ability does not work over extradimensional distances, but if its victim returns from an excursion to another plane it immediately is aware of it. Ressurection of Revenge (Su): Unless a relentless courser's head is seperated from its body with at least a trace of its prey's blood in its mouth it will come back to unlife in 1d4 days.
