If you needed to impress a god of destruction...?

Well my cahracter is in quite the predicament. He, for better or for worse, has got talos, god of destruction, to keep on eye on him. My character has to impress him now by making a couple of bangs, if you will. I have stareted off by setting a fireball off in the sewers of a big city. That certainly got hin interested peeked. But now I need to do something bigger and better. At least 2 more times.

So I come to you to ask for ideas on what should happen next. My character doesn't won't to kill anyone, but doesn't mind destroying public or private property (obviously). What to do, oh, what to do?

One thing that I can think of would be the destruction of a valuable piece of art or culture.

Immagine the favor you could gain if you destroyed the Mona Lisa or David? - Perhaps breaking the leaning tower of Piza?

what kind of destruction are you looking for? wonton destruction where you destroy for the thrill of having blown somthing up? hurt someone else? hurt people on a large scale or personal? or the emotional high of having defied civilization?

In any case, you should know that fireball creates no pressure, and so setting one off in the sewers would just dry it out for a while. Fireseed, (or is it delayed balst fireball)on the other hand does do damage- not in the blast radius, but if you cast the spell beyond something and have that something be in the line of fire. It take full damage...

What level is he?
If he has some high summoning spells, and is of evil alignment, just summon some demons/devils and let them loose in town square. There should be some carnage there to satisfy even the greatest gods.

Lets start out with just plain nuts.

1. Find a local temple of an enemy god. Since your PC won't kill anyone make certain the place is empty or nearly empty.
If your DM will allow, cast the following spells.
1. Solid Fog around your work area. this will prevent people from seeing your deed.
2. Move Earth, dig a hole in the wall of the temple.
3. Control Weather, create a storm within the temple.
4. Cast Stone to Flesh on the Idol or symbol of the temple.
5. Summon several minor monsters to eat the symbol.
6. Dimension door, duh get out of their asap.

If your high level, here is something funny to do.

Find some villain you don't really care for.
1. Cast Meteor Swarm upon his town.
2. Cast Control Water, and lower it to almost nothing.
3. Cast Persistent Image, make a monster apper.
4. Cast Fireball upon the center of town using the monster as the "caster" of the spell.

Only do the second one if you can afford to lose a few alignment points.
