Probably walking. There are very few people that take their work home with them ;).

But yeah, it'd waste time trying to tumble or slide; when stuntmen do a stunt, they have to prepare, and you can't do one just on a whim.
 

Walk. Why take the risk if you're not getting paid for it? Additionally, if you get injured on the job you're usually covered by insurance.

I was a stuntman for several years, and when I saw this topic, my immediate response was "I ain't fallin' down no stairs unless I'm being paid for it!"

I do some stunts on the side, and I'll tell you that I'd rather jump off of a building than fall down stairs. I'm not going to fall down stairs unless I'm getting paid or in class. And then I'd like to have some padding on. Eugh...stairs. Probably the most uncomfortable stunt there is.
