If a PC was invisible and changed into gaseous form would they now be invisible gas as opposed to a visible mist?

What if the PC had also cast a light spell? Would the light still hover around the gas?

When the PC is gaseous, can he cast spells and use magic items that are activated by "will" alone (ie. no material, verbal, or somatic components)?

Yes.

Spells with no VSM components, yes. It can't activate magic items (mentioned in the gaseous form spell description).

Actually, can a magic item be activated by "will"? Or, does a magic item need a Verbal component (command word) or Somatic component (rub a lamp of geniekind)?
