Whenever religion comes up in a thread here, it almost always ends in tears and sour feelings - it usually starts with someone making a blanket, vaguely (or not so vaguely) insulting comment about some religion, or adherents to that religion. This sparks a rebuttal from an adherent to said religion. The pro- and con- sides start going back and forth, and it gets surly in very short order. For some reason, religion invariably gets people riled up in here. Yeah, other topics COULD start flame wars, but religion specifically DOES start flame wars. I hear that Circus Maximus is much more rough-and-tumble, if you really need to talk religion or politics on a gaming site. Enough threads already turn ugly here with innocent topics like PDFs and tough DMing - why make the mods' job any harder with guaranteed button-pushing topics?</p></blockquote><p></p>
