They been pushed into core through updates and DDI, but they have changed. If you picked and compared to the 08 books you will see differences in conditions, skills, classes, races, feats, default dcs, skill challenges, mounted and flying combat, monster statistics...What is essentials? A horrible multiheaded blob monster capable of generating confusion and new internet threads at will.</blockquote>
