It is not my right to criticize 4e because WOTC screwed the pooch and left alot of fans behind. It is however my right to criticize it because I do not like 4e. I have nothing against the people that PLAY 4e, I just don't like it for the valid arguments many have given on this site. When people criticize a brand they do not like over sensitive people dismiss it. Fact of the matter is that is life. I don't like D&D 4e and I am perfectly happy to criticize it and I will criticize it. Not because i was vested with a 'right' to do it, but because I can, and I should, and I will. Its funny though, when I criticize the game to fellow gamers at conventions or the game store, we engage in dialogue. It is friendly. ON the internet people in general get oversensitive about it. I just won't understand that. Treat forum posts like dialogue. If you don't like the criticism don't go in those threads. But this is a site about gaming. I am not going to go to my "Real Climate Science Blog" and talk about how I do not like 4e. I will go on a gaming site and talk about that though. Such is life. I make the claim WOTC listened to those of us that have complained. ITs too late for them now because a company I consider better stole that niche out from under them. Mention that on the WOTC site and you will see far more whining on those boards than anything that can happen here from ANY camp. I find this site very fun and useful. It is silly to not have fun because somebody says mean words about a game you like. ENworld was fine before 4e was released and it is fine now. The fact that ENworld may seem unfun to people after the release of 4e, may tell something about how the market was fractured. A fractured market is a real thing that does not just go away, no matter how much one holds their breath hoping it will.
