So there should be something in those alone for everyone.Well to be honest I am not well enough versed in the Silmarillion to be able to comment on that accurately.I was recommended the Silmarillion when I was very young (just after I had read the Hobbit) and I never really warmed to it (its hardly easy reading). In fact that put me off reading the Lord of the Rings for many, many years.
