As many of you know, Piratecat has been soliciting donations from EN World members towards paying for Russ to come to GenCon this summer. You've done a great job with donations and Kevin's rounded up a bit more than was necessary for the trip. Congratulations and thanks to all of you.
I learned yesterday that due to an unforseen expense in Piratecat's life, he and his wife Peg will themselves be unable to attend GenCon this year! Does anyone see the cruel irony?? Fortunately since the Kulps live in the US, their trip should be quite a bit less expensive. Unfortunately, we don't have much time...
So what can you do? If you've already donated -- nothing, you've done your part. Thank you! If you haven't ... please go to Piratecat's thread and make a donation if you can. Don't tell Pkitty who it's for, let him think it's more money for Russ' trip. And then just drop me an e-mail at ericnoah@charter.net telling me how much you donated so I can keep track of how much we have gathered for Kevin's portion of the trip.
Even a small amount will be helpful. I am still rounding up information on how much money we need to raise, but I'm guestimating that we may need around $800 total.
Edit ----> As of 6/19 we have gathered $863 toward Kevin's trip. ---- We did it!!! This is fantastic!!
Folks, I think this ought to do it -- thank you all so much for your generosity. Next step is to get Kevin in here to see all of this love.
