In Praise of $1 sales

I'd just like to say I really like the various $1 sales that publishers have done on rpgnow.

I just got a bunch of Troll Lord modules and sourcebooks and I'm considering a few LPJ books for after Thanksgiving. I was considering getting more Goodman Games d20 stuff at 50% off plus the 10% deal coupon but the $1 sales called out louder to me.

In the past I have gotten a lot from E.N. Publishing, RDP, Highmoon Media/Monkeygod, Adamant Entertainment, LPJ, Blackdyrge, and others, spending a lot of money on these sales that I probably would not have otherwise spent (I sometimes splurge when these sales come up) or would have gone to other publishers (there are a ton of RPG pdfs I want that are competing for my monthly rpg budget).

I'm looking forward to seeing what sales happen Black Friday and in December with Christmas and the d20 logo deadline.

Voadam,
I'm right with you on this. Last time around, I bought from Adamant, Blackdyrge, EN Publishing, The Le, and a few others that are not coming to mind at the moment. And, those $1.00 sales took away from other products that I had lined up to buy.

It is hard to beat a $1, espcially on products that are normally $10, like the NeoExodus: A House Divided Campaign setting. HINT, HINT!

I've spent more than a hundred bucks at individual $1 sales.

I'll pick up stuff to read later. Otherwise, I wait until a game need creates a real demand.
