According to the 3.5 MM(pg. 310), a positive or negative energy effect is not affected by the normal 50% miss chance when targetting an incorporeal creature. However, the 3.5 DMG(pg. 294) and the SRD do not mention this in their descriptions of incorporeality. Are positive/negative energy effects supposed to bypass the miss chance?
The particular instance involves hitting a manifested ghost with a Bolt of Glory spell.
