One of my DMs used this/is using this.
For us, it happened too fast and with no warning. Worse, we really don't care. We're pretty much a group of selfish survivors who dungeon crawl for gold and glory. The whole war thing isn't up our ally but we're helping where we can. I am not looking forward to meeting more of those creatures. We've lost a few party members (due more to one of our players running away then the enemy) but it's going to get hectic soon.
How about other experiences?
