Spellbook Games is happy to announce the re-release of Inferno, the first and original Dungeon & Dragons module describing Hell. Inferno describes the outer half of Hell, the first four Circles, as imagined by Dante and interpreted for gaming. Adventurers become ensnared in Gehenna, the Plane of Devils, and have to outwit and outfight the legions of Devils to find a way to escape, leading them deeper into Hell in search of Lucifer. Along the way they must evade or overcome iconic NPC’s such as Charon (Ferryman of the Dead), Minos (Judge of the Dammed), Cerberus the Hound of Hell, and Plutus (Duke of Hell and ArchFiend of Wealth). This is a very challenging scenario, intended for groups of high-level characters and experienced players. The original module was approved by TSR in 1980 for use with Advanced Dungeons & Dragons, and was published by the Judges Guild. Our version continues to be completely compatible with AD&D, we haven’t changed a single statistic, monster, or artifact. The module has been re-formatted, given new maps, and has new interior art, but it plays identically with the original. Come and walk on the diabolical side. Inferno 1980 is currently available through DriveThruRPG in PDF format; we intend to release Inferno as a print-on-demand product later this year. Geoff
