Is it just me, or do there seem to be an inordinate number of polls and opinion-taking threads of late that, while not directly saying they are attached to 4e, seem to be taking the pulse of the community on this topic?

Change is in the air. Plenty of people can smell it coming. Change always generates discussion and a desire to know if they're the only one that feels this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Perhaps, but as the vast majority seem to be the community taking its own temperature, I'm not sure that I'd read much into it, other than general rumormongering.
