There is a feat in the Players Guide to Faerun called Initiate of Nature which allows you to rebuke or command animal and plant creatures as an evil cleric commands and rebukes undead.
This seems like a really good feat with many applications. I am wondering about your experiences with this feat and whether you would consider taking it. The obvious use of this feat being to bolster the parties capabilities with additional animals in addition to the Druid's animal companion.
