Injury System - Question

I've been thinking about converting over to the Injury System found in Unearthed Arcana, however before I make the plunge I thought I'd see if others have used this system and what their thoughts were, and what changes they made or added to it.

I'd appreciate any thoughts you guys might have.

Blue Rose uses a similar system. You can download the basic rules here:

In the full rules there are conversions to D&D damage and hit dice. The basics are:

Damage
1d3 -> +0
1d4 -> +1
1d6 -> +2
1d8 -> +3
1d10 -> +4
1d12 -> +5

So a fireball doing 3d6 damage has a +6 damage bonus.

Hit Dice convert to the Toughness save as follows:

d4 -> +1 per 4 hd
d6 -> +1 per 2 hd
d8 -> +3 per 4 hd
d10 -> +1 per 1 hd
d12 -> +5 per 4 hd.

Do a Clr4/Ftr4 would have 4d8+4d10 or +3/+4 for a total of +7 to Toughness.

Personally, I think this d4 and d6 are too low so I would use +1 per 2 hd for d4 and +2 per 3 hd for d6.
