Innuendo (Forgotten Realms)

Hi all.
According to the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting (which I believe is 3.0), you have the Innuendo skill. What's this skill's equivilant in 3.5? In particular, I'm referring to the Guild Thief, a prestige class.

It went away. It's now in Bluff.

Delivering a Secret Message: You can use Bluff to get a message across to another character without others understanding it. The DC is 15 for simple messages, or 20 for complex messages, especially those that rely on getting across new information. Failure by 4 or less means you can’t get the message across. Failure by 5 or more means that some false information has been implied or inferred. Anyone listening to the exchange can make a Sense Motive check opposed by the Bluff check you made to transmit in order to intercept your message (see Sense Motive).

Bluff, for sending, or Sense Motive, for receiving, are the skills used in 3.5 for secret messages.

I'm not sure what updates they recommended for PrCs with an Innuendo rank requirement. I think my personal ruling would be to require full ranks in one, and half ranks in the other... so if the requirement was Innuendo 8 ranks, I'd require Bluff 8 ranks and Sense Motive 4, or Bluff 4 ranks and Sense Motive 8... but that's off the top of my head without knowing much about the class!

Guild Thief of Amn (I believe that is the city it references), is the updated PrC of the 3.0 Guild Thief. I'm fairly sure it is in the FRPG.

Ah, thanks all.
Just out of interest, what did it do originally? I may house rule it in, if it isn't too similiar to Bluff, etc.

It was the "Thieve's Cant" of Third Edition. Rogue's could use it to give voiced messages with 'hidden meanings' and speak non-sense to any outside listeners not aware of the 'secret Rogue's Language' when they were using it.

You could also still keep Innuendo in 3.5, as a more specialized skill that combines together some uses of Bluff and some uses of Sense Motive.

It isn't written in stone that skills can never overlap...
