When the missus stays home with your young daughter all day, the last thing you want to do is tell her, "Oh, yeah, I'll be at the theatre until 10pm four nights this week." One day, I'll get back on track of my master plan to act in or direct all of Shakespeare's plays. Nine down, twenty-seven or so to go.5. Singing. (I'm a baritone.) Still trying to find a decent church choir in the area we moved to. Anyone know of one in the Carmel, NY area? I desperately miss choral singing. Some day soon, I hope to get back to it.6. Taiko drumming. Big Japanese festival drums. (I learned this when I lived in California.) Get lots of friends together, and they make a BIG noise.  (I think I detect a theme...) It's theatre crossed with music. When I have a thousand bucks to spare, I'll be buying a chu-daiko for my backyard. Howdy, neighbors! DON DO KO DON DON!7. Computer gaming. I hear the Everquest.exe file on my computer downstairs calling to me every once in a while, but I resist. (Easy to do when there's no internet access downstairs yet.) I occasionally browse Alienware and sigh over getting a new gaming computer, but when would I have time? See item 4 above.Having so many hobbies means I never get bored. If I do get tired of one, I can move onto something else enjoyable. I guess variety is the name of the game. My hobbies tend to involve lots of people, so that's a cool way to keep lots of friends and aquaintances from many different spheres of life.</blockquote>
