The Intelligent Items Generator from the iSRD has been added as a standalone generator to the RPG Toolbox.
The generator will calculate the item's ability scores (Int, Wis, Cha), calculate the modifiers for each of these scores, generate an alignment, a method of communication, an enchantment (e.g. +3), a market price modifier, primary abilities, extraordinary powers, special purposes, and finally calculate those pesky ego points for you.
Even when using the automatic generator, each of the fields can be manually altered. For example, you generate an item that is perfect except its intelligence is too low. All you have to do is type over the value that you don't like.
Once all of the fields are acceptable, click the 'Printer Friendly' button to display all of the data in a 'friendlier' format. Print your results and continue creating.
