Version 2.02 of Interactive Dungeon is now available ! Changes include:

- Resizable monster icon to take into account space in the Combat Planner (sizes can be from 5'x5' up to 30'x30')
- A new partial fill function to insert a random pattern of color (great to create texture for the dungeon floor)
- Fixed bugs from the previous version

So, you map out in 2-D, and then the game translates that map into a first-person perspective that the party can explore 1 squre at a time (kind of like the old Eye of the Beholder games)?

No.

You map in 2d, and you execute in 2d.

However, events, traps, and encounters can be triggered in the squares, and when you decide to resolve a combat, you can zoom-in on the section that the PC's actually are, and place the individual PC's and critter (with size varying from 5x5 to 30x30 for the critters) icons and resolve the combat init by init, round by round.

It can also keep track of short duration spells or effects (like stunned for 3 rounds). With the figurine rules, I find this program invaluable.

It has been around for years for free, I am surprised that it has poor success. I cannot game without it anymore.
