Shameless bump for this thread: First let me introduce myself, I am Queenie's husband, I don't post here often but I read the news daily and have just attended a game day in Massachusetts and thought it would be fun to host our own. So, as of now we have about two dozen people expressing interest in attending. That would be just awesome if we came close to that amount! As Queenie mentioned we want to have games on both Saturday and Sunday of whichever weekend is chosen. Most likely we would have two slots each day running 4 -5 hours each slot. We are in the western half of Suffolk County on Long Island in the town of North Babylon. There are two LIRR train stations (Deer Park and Babylon) that are only a few miles from our house for anyone who would want to travel via rail and we would definitely be willing to make a few runs a day to pick people up from and drop people off at the train station. We have 3 areas at our house that are perfect for gaming and another couple that could be used if we had that many people. We also have a nice home theatre setup if we wanted to do some screenings of our favorite gamer/sci-fi/fantasy movies. As Queenie said earlier, we are not biased towards just having role playing games, although RPGs will be the focus. I have a collection of card and board games as well and would be willing to share those, perhaps even running tournaments if there was interest. After GenCon and once we firm up a date we will start setting up the gaming slots and looking for volunteers to run games. Other comments, ideas, thoughts, whatever, post them here!
