I have an idea that I'd like people to give their opinions/experiences on. Basically I have a long running campaign *Blatant plug starts here* which has it's begginings on my Riddle of Ku Khulaid story hour here on the boards. Which you should read. And say things. *Blatant plug ends* Aaanyway, tomorrow I'm beginning another campaign in the same homebrew world at the same time.. from the other side of the conflict. The original characters are barbarians, thieves and so on from the north that kicked and backstabbed their way to some measure of rulership, and after 3 in game years have finally defeated the old rulers in one of the countries. At the same time an empire rapidly expanded from the south, taking one of the northern countries and building it's forces against Moderost, our newfound kings. Our player characters tried a daring move and have just decided to personally go south and assassinate the emperor and enough important people to cause some problems in the empire. They have yet to play this through. This is my idea for my new game tomorrow is to have characters from the empire, after a suitable period of early putting down dissenters and killing demons and so forth actually be the foes of the original party? Oh, and they'll be played by the same people as the original party. How does that sound as an idea?
