With armies depleted, and tasks too <strong>violent </strong>or <strong>dangerous </strong>for the soldiers remaining, <strong>one hope remains</strong>...</p><p></p><p>You are an <strong>Interstellar Mercenary (I.S.M.),</strong> part of an <strong>elite team</strong> of hired killers and specialists in the service of the Kisrian Empire<em>, </em>one of three feuding empires tearing apart an already hostile planet. <strong>Ex-serial murderers</strong>, <strong>thieves, cyborgs, alien-hybrid creations, cyber-terrorists, bounty hunters, disgraced royalty</strong> and <strong>cerebral warriors</strong> all have a place on the <strong>team </strong>- provided the Empire deems your ‘talents’ useful enough. As a mercenary you and a team will be sent on <strong>specialist missions </strong>deemed too risky or difficult for the Empire's standing army. To further complicate matters each mercenary has its own<strong> hidden agenda</strong>, or motivation, for joining the I.S.M. This is a <strong>personal mission/goal</strong> to complete within the overarching campaign or mission, which may ultimately bring down the Empire you were enlisted to protect, or your fellow mercenary.</p><p></p><p><strong>TIME FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT!</strong></p><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>You get to be the monster!</strong> From a small jelly-like eight limbed cerebral creature to a four meter tall blade-armed warrior and everything in between. In fact, the alien species (and genders!) play so differently there are 33 different alien character sheets to assist! No elves, dwarves or orcs in sight!</p><p><strong>Progressive (and deadly) rule system.</strong> Start with the basics (20D rolls attached to specific actions with a modifier) and add more rules to enhance realism and increase strategic options as players become more experienced. If you want a meaningful difference between using the hilt or the blade, want advanced grappling techniques or to keep an enemy in polearm range this system is for you! Mastering these combat techniques is crucial to survival as any character, no matter how experienced, can still be killed in a single blow.</p><p><strong>Original alien world to explore.</strong> Set in a world predominantly at a medieval technology level, with carefully balanced black-market alien high-tech. So much to explore - hundreds of locations, dozens of frightening and beautiful creatures to fight and use, flora, history, new minerals, myths, religions and cults.</p><p><strong>Cerebral Efflux! </strong>Its new, its original and boy is it fun. A telepathy and telekinesis based magic alternative. Heaps of freedom, imagination and strategy required. Players can also 'merge' telepathically (with some risks!) allowing them to share cerebral energy and become more powerful! <strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Team based combat and gameplay.</strong> The realistic nature of ISM Combat Simulation means it takes a team to survive, unfortunately you don't get to pick your team do! Personal missions and hidden agendas create exciting twists and keep players guessing who they can trust within their team and the empire.</p><p><strong>Heaps of future content.</strong> Not only does it come with 500+ page rules and world book and a 200+ page action packed campaign with 60+ hours of game play but there are 4 more 200+ page campaigns to be released in the future (hopefully every 12-18 months).
