Radaceus: As you approach the anvil, a mist begins to appear in front of it. Before your eyes, the mist solidifies into the shape of a shimmering transparent dwarf who forlornly gazes on your band with hollow eyes. His face is wrinkled, behind a proud beard and a crooked nose, although the right half of his face is horribly disfigured as if from acid. Tattered bits of flesh dangle over bare bone and an exposed eye socket. Adorned in a leather jerkin, his left arm is missing at the elbow, replaced with an ornate smithy’s hammer. You rapidly take in the details of his appearance and notice that his helm bears a crest of two hammers crossed before a flame. You encountered that symbol in your studies. It’s is the seal of the Ironshaper clan. You recall that the clan was said to be great craftsmen before a dragon attacked them and nearly wiped them out. The dwarven apparition looks at you with red sparks angrily flashing in his eye sockets. His echoing voice reminds you of crushing gravel as he barks at you, “Who are you? Why have you come?” Cade: You are able to recover all the items you saw with no trouble. The yellow stone looks to be a sizeable topaz. The belt buckle seems to be solid silver. More interesting is the arrow. The arrow has a thick brown shaft with blue and green feathers. Its shaft splits into three separate arrowheads, each tipped with a black metal head. As you turn it over in your hand, you recognize that there is something exceptional about the arrow, but without further study you can’t make out what the enchantment might be. [sblock=OOC]If you would like to make any skill checks concerning the bone pile, feel free[/sblock] Pell: The shield is polished to a mirror shine and the curve is so slight that as you look into it, your reflection is almost perfectly maintained. You touch it as you inspect it and notice that your fingerprint doesn’t appear. Curious, you grab some dirt from the bottom of your boots and try to smudge it on the shield only to find it sliding directly off. You are not sure of the depth of the enchantment, but you are confident that the shield is magical. Everyone: You see and hear the dwarven ghost as well. [sblock=Magical Items]For magical items that you find, as per the DMG, you will be able to know that they are magical just by handling them.
