MR: Mission Ridiculous In a park in Tur Ellylion, Tower of the Spirit, in the Kevellond League, a man with white hair in conservative clothes is buying a hot dog as he looks at the United Worlds building. The sun is shining, but is obscured briefly by a whale-sized Flumph. "Is the beef fresh?" the man says in a low voice. The halfling hot dog vendor whispers. "You should relish it." The vendor hands him a hot dog wrapped in foil. The white haired man walks to a park bench and and unwraps the hot dog. A low sound comes from it. "Agent Jinn Felps of the Mission Reconaissance Task Force, you and your team have been assigned to investigate the Hivemind and try to determine what role an entity referred to as Piratecat, possibly a deity, has in regards to the Hivemind. Your task is to observe, and report back as swiftly as possible. You need to determine if there is any threat to the Demiplane of Hope. This hot dog will self-destruct in five seconds." Felps quickly throws the hot dog into a garbage can as a sizzling sound is heard. The whale sized flumph waits until it disintegrates, and then moves on. "Hmm," Felps mutters. "I wonder if I should have a portable hole filled with catnip just incase I run into this Piratecat." Meanwhile, in Veluna City, Archcleric Hazen, president of the Oerth Alliance and the Kevellond League, addresses Lord William Ronald, Speaker of the Kevellond League, and Gwilym Raonul, Chief of Staff. There is a look of peace on Hazen's angelic features and hope. His blue and white robes shine like sunlight, and he is surrounded with a nimbus of light. Before the destruction Melkor wrought on many worlds, Hazen was elevated by the Angels of the Seventh Heaven and is one of their number. "I have asked the Sky-Sea League to temporarily close their gate to an alternate Oerth while we investigate this matter. I am going to visit the Angels and the Taraakians to learn more of the Hivemind and Piratecat. I do not believe these signals are coming from Gamma Terra, but there are many alternate realities. Indeed, perhaps only the Eternal knows how many worlds there may be." "I have sent President Forrester a message that I am willing to revive the investagator they sent out. I do not know whether this Hivemind and Piratecat are friend or foe, but we must seek the truth. May the Eternal, Rao, and all the gods aid our efforts to seek the truth. We must be resolute, but without fear. In the end, the truth will win out." Hazen vanishes, and Gwilym Raonul exclaims. "I am still getting used to all these changes. Hazen an Angel. The death of our worlds and its recreation on the Demiplane of Hope. Sometimes I wonder what to do?" "The best we can," Lord Ronald replies. "We already have a team of agents going out. If we are lucky, then this Hivemind is not a threat. If not, well we will do what we must. As we always do."
