[QUOTE="Serpenteye, post: 666371, member: 1492"] Hidden in a demiplane where time is accellerated to a degree that makes the rest of infinity appear to stand still a great fleet is being built. Imagine a ship the size of a planet, a perfect sphere created out of pure radiant power with weapons and defenses that defy and redefine all the laws of magic and physics, impenetrable and all-penetrating, with the ability to wrap itself into the folds of time to perform the tasks of millennia in no time at all. A billion powerlevels concentrated into one point. Now imagine a thousand such ships, and a hundred thousand ships of lesser size, from a mere thousand feet to five thousand miles in diameter. That is but one of the countless fleets of the Union of Worlds. The Cydians know no limitations, for their number and power is infinite. A lush, tropical paradise. A magnificent city of stone, brick and wood, crafted lovingly for centuries into the capital of a whole world. A world with one sun. A world with two suns. Five! A dozen! A thousand suns! The air grows blistering hot and the people cower in fear and extacy, for surely the Gods have come to bring doom or salvation. Yes, the Gods know what has happened and the Gods have come to defend what gives them life. There they appear, awesome in their ancient power, terrifying in their ancient pride. The World Mother, The God of Death, The Protector, The Plague Worm, The Keeper of Lore, The God of War, hundreds of others, all united in this ultimate cause. The few among the people who dare to, stare into the heavens into a battle that surely must meen the end of the world. And yet, it all happens too quickly to see it. As soon as the Gods appear, they disappear. Under a barrage of groundpounders, annihilation missiles, ultracine paradox rays, essence of Elder Ones, singularity charges, soulwarp fields, soulkill fields, gravitic enhancement and warping fields, magipsi destabilization fields and countless other weapons the Gods of that world simply cease to exist.
