and sorry I didn't realize their was going to be a test.
As I noted, either it's a simple mis-reporting (which happens, no big deal), or it is gobbledigook (which isn't really your fault, as you didn't write it.
As for the test, I'm sorry. I make a bit of a hobby out of pointing out pseudoscientific nonsense for what it is.

Science reporting in the modern world is simply
abysmal.
I think it's would be possible, at least via physics, the crust sits on liquid magma...
The results of the normal slow processes are things like the Rocky Mountains, the Himalayas, the Marinaras Trench, and the Ring of Fire. The results of an even faster mode that would have accomplished all this in less than a million years would be more plain than the nose on Jimmy Durante's face.

As someone who begins oh so many posts with "Um, actually...", I'm sure you'll understand if I mention that pointing me toward the full text would be the opposite of giving me a brief summary, as requested.
You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need.
I looked about for a good brief summary, and didn't find one that looked trustworthy. Coupled with the fact that most folks don't know in which works Plato discusses Atlantis, mentioning the title seemed reasonable.
Critias is not terribly long. Neither is Timaeus, the other dialog that mentions Atlantis. The full texts can be found
here. I didn't report them before, because they have annoying pop-ups, and I wanted to find a better version.
