Iron Golem and Bigby's Interposing Hand

The SRD doesn't indicate how much an Iron golem weighs. Does the MM indicate its weight?

I'm curious because the spell (Bigby's) Interposing Hand mentions that creatures above 2,000 pounds are not thwarted by the hands attempt to keep them at bay.

So, the question is whether or not an iron golem could be held back by Interposing hand or not....

Iron golems weigh 5,000 lbs. according to the Monster Manual.

Yea, I read the 5,000 lb thing last night in my MM. Curious why they didn't include that factoid in the SRD.

Hypersmurf, what's this about spell immunity? You mean, as if the golem were completely impervious to the effects of the spell?

Golems are immune to ALL spells, except for those noted in their description. Bigby's spells are not noted in the description. So an interposing hand would not (by my reading) stop a golem no matter how much it weighed.

There are ways to get around this of course - disintegrate the ceiling, rock to mud on the ground below it, cast spells on the group's warriors, etc.

That is up to debate here I would say magic immunity doesn't apply if Bigby doesn't allow for SR.

I was going to say the same, as it's an "ongoing effect". But this spell does allow SR.

If it would say "Evocation (Force)", maybe things would be different... But Wall of Force doesn't allow for SR.

So Mr. Iron gets past Bigby on two counts. That's cool.

I hope they revise Magic Immunity on golems as well as the Bigby spells in 3.5. Magic Immunity is confusing and Bigby spells less than Grasping Hand are rather useless.
