All: So, is this the current marching order, and is everyone happy with it? Eyvind Tyra Kneecap Dark Gavyn You do, in fact, have only one light source, though Tyra can cast light for 10 minutes at a stretch and Dark dancing flames.... err, that is to say, dancing lights for one minute. Who's going to carry the lantern, if you're even going to use it? Eyvinds boots kick up a slurry of flithy water, sending steeeenking droplets splashing up over his trouser legs. The air is thick with the smell of stagnation, the rancid water that leaks in through the foundations from the bogs all around and the waste productions of a prosperous (and opulous society). The Kossite scans the darkness uncertainly, unable to see beyond the end of his own nose, but the hilt of the sword in his hand was comforting. One by one you clamber down after him; Tyra's heeled boots -clik- on the stone floor as she exchanges sarcastic banter with her comrades; Kneecap is alomst wading in the stuff, making his skin turn some very distressing shades. On the other hand, he can see better than anyone else. Dark and Gavyn follow, the sorceror muttering less often that usual, perhaps sensing the need for caution, or perhaps merely on the low ebb of insanity at the moment, and the courtier discussing the appalling lighting arrangements with the others. The passage is just tall enough so that Tyra has to buckle her knees fractionally to keep a straight back, and the taller males have to hunch their shoulders and spines to fit. If the gunmage is forced to resort to melee with her rapier, Dark with his iron-shod staff or Gavyn with his sword, they will find themselves slightly impaired (OOC: -1 to hit), but the rest of your armaments are small enough to be used in these clsoe confines normally. The walls are rounded and made of tightly fitted but irregularly shaped stones, here and there they buckle inwards where the subsiding earth of Corvis has pushed on them. Dank threads of a nasty, brown moss hang here and there, and the sound of water trickling from numerous pipes that dot the wall, channeling drain run off and effluent from above is a constant. At a downwards angle, the sewer tunnel stretches deeper and ahead, twisting and turning out of sight...
