Wicht vs. Nifft Round I judging Wicht Round I Critique Again we’ve got some min/maxing with the stats but let’s see how they are used to build an interesting character. Description is good and wrapping the role-playing tips right in there makes it readable and quick. I like this, I got a good visual of the character from it and could see how to use him in a lot of situations. Okay onto the judging criteria: Originality: The lying back-stabbing sneaking bard. This isn’t very original; I’ve seen it done a lot. However he does manage to use his weaknesses to his advantage. All in all though I’d rate him as pretty run of the mill; except for the sneaky liar managing to get a sash of valor while sticking to his back-stabbing ways. 3 points awarded. Playability: This guy seems pretty tied to the courts. However he does have a keep, which is more then reasonable for a 14th level character, where he appears to spend a lot of time. This alludes to him having down-time that he could use to adventure. It seems as though he’s pretty tied to the king and would get most of his orders from that king. The only situation where I can really see him being a playable character is in a single-person city game or if the entire party works for the court. It is limited playability, which you admit to in your note. 3 points awarded. Use of the ingredients: The sash was used wonderfully, I really liked this. Final Judgment: 10 points of 15 awarded. Nifft round I critique This is over all an excellent entry but let’s see how it breaks down in the sooring. Originality: The lying back-stabbing bard maybe over done but this guy has a very unique twist on the idea. I liked the way you took being roman to the hilt.
